Lisette loves the recorder! When asked if she prefers teaching or performing, she feels so fortunate and is thrilled to be active in both realms. The collaborative process she so highly values is intrinsic to both her chosen fields, and Lisette is deeply committed to and tremendously inspired by each endeavor.
She embraces teaching with great joy and enthusiasm. Heartfelt humor and encouragement are the mainstays of her approach to the study of technique and musical expression with her students of all levels.
Performing is truly a celebration! Lisette cherishes connecting with her colleagues and engaging with listeners in venues from living rooms and chapels to colleges and theaters.
It is in this process of exploration with her students and audiences that Lisette shares her life-long musical journey and love affair with the recorder.
